Missed Appointments in surgery

Appointments must be attended on time, or cancelled with adequate notice, so that the appointment may be re-allocated. This can be done by calling at least 30 minutes before your appointment time. Cancelling any closer to your appointment will mean we are unable to re-use your allocated slot, resulting in a wasted appointment. This is still classed as a missed appointment.

Late attendance of an appointment (more than 5 minutes) may result in you having to re-book.  

Please be understanding and patient if your appointment is running late, this may be due to an emergency that may have arisen.

Missed appointments in hospital

If a hospital appointment is not attended, we will be informed in writing by your consultant.   A missed appointment may result in removal from the waiting list.

Change of Personal Details

Please inform us in writing if you change any of the following personal details:

Name, address, telephone number or e-mail address.
