Repeat Prescriptions

IMPORTANT:  Please remember it is your responsibility as a patient to ensure you have an adequate supply of your medication. Make sure you check your medication supply regularly.

We require 72 working hours to process your prescription request.   The pharmacy will also require additional time to prepare your medication, so please allow 1 week in total between ordering and collection from the pharmacy.  Prescriptions will be sent to Beaumaris or Menai Bridge pharmacies - please let us know your preference.

How to order your repeat prescription

  • Post your Repeat Prescription slip through our letterbox
  • By letter giving your name, address, date of birth, and name & strength of requested medication
  • Electronically via the NHS Wales App
  • By e-mail to Beaumaris@wales.nhs.uk - include you name, address, date of birth, and name & strength of requested medication

Please note we DO NOT accept prescription requests over the telephone.
Same day prescription requests will not be accepted.

You may not be able to order some prescriptions if:

  • You need a medication review
  • it's too early to order your medication
  • it's an acute (short-term) or one-off prescription

Medication Reviews

All patients on repeat medication and with certain ongoing medical conditions such as asthma and diabetes will be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

You can contact us for more information, or to find out what to do next. You may be advised to book a medication review with one of our clinicians; once an appointment has been confirmed the practice will be able to offer you an interim prescription of your repeat medication.
